Everyone knows it, the 6.0 Powerstroke is known for blown head gaskets. Whether you're in the midst of repairing a blown head gasket and want to prevent it, there's no better option than a set of Custom Age Head Studs from ARP to get the job done right to add a ton of reliability to your 6.0.

With a minimum tensile strength rating of 260,000 psi, you can rest assured that your heads are being held down with the strongest material on the market. Not only are the 625+ head studs a great option when simply preventing a blown head gasket on a stock 6.0L, but are proven to hold up to the rigors of large turbo(s) delivering massive amounts of boost, which in turn increase cylinder pressures.

ARP also offers head stud kits made from ARP2000 (220,000 psi minimum) for the Dodge/Cummins plus Chevy Duramax diesel, Ford 7.3L Powerstroke diesel, and 6.0L Powerstroke. The stud kits include heat-treated chrome moly steel nuts (12-point) and parallel ground washers

The studs are manufactured in ARP's Santa Paula, CA plant, with threads rolled after heat treat to provide optimum fatigue strength. They are centerless ground to assure perfect concentricity. The ends of the studs are broached to facilitate easy installation. This feature also enables the cylinder head to be removed in tight quarters.
